Run by MTBikers, for MTBikers, this course will be run over 2.5 days, supported by the Dorset Council and held at the Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails. This course will have a dedicated focus on addressing the injuries and logistical considerations that almost every mountain biker comes across from time-to-time. This course is equivalent to your workplace first aid so if you’re a keen rider what better way to update or obtain your first aid.
The First Aid Course is delivered over 2.5 consecutive days from 8.30-17.30pm on Saturday and Sunday and starting at 6-8.30pm on Friday night.
- Minimum entry-level MTB experience; beginners are welcome!
- All personal MTB equipment (including bike, helmet, other PPE)
- Weather-appropriate gear
- A sense of challenge, adventure and fun!
All course participants will come away with nationally-recognised qualifications in CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Provide First Aid.
Successful completion awards participants with following Nationally Accredited Units of Competency.

The First Aid Course is delivered over 2.5 consecutive days from 8.30-17.30pm on Saturday and Sunday and starting at 6-8.30pm on Friday night. The following topics will be covered: DRSABCD(EFG) Action Plan, CPR, Unconscious Patient, First Aid Principles and Guidelines, Shock, Wounds, Fractures, Dislocations, Spine Management, Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Bites and Stings, Head Injuries.
The 2.5 Days are delivered both inside and outside covering the fundamentals of First Aid and will be delivered predominantly outside using scenario’s in bush environments to help simulate a realistic response.
